Turn and Live
“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”
This is the story of every man, woman, and child. Each of us is an immortal being who, left to his own devices will spend eternity in the torment of Hell. But God, in His love, has provided us a way of escape through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus. There is no other way; there is no other escape. Turn and live!

There is a moral law.
Each of us constantly breaks it.
Our "good" deeds cannot make up for our lawlessness (sin) because we cannot undo the past and because we are incapable of doing anything truly good.
God, being the source of justice, must punish all lawbreakers. Consequently, we are all awaiting judgement.
But God is also love, so He doesn't want to see us punished.
So He became a man -- Jesus of Nazareth -- and took our punishment on Himself when He died on the cross. In doing so, ultimate justice was satisfied through ultimate love.
Death is the consequence of sin, but Jesus rose from the dead, proving that His payment for sin was sufficient.
If we confess that Jesus is Lord, believe that He has told us the truth, and turn away from our lives of disobedience, we will instantly pass from eternal death to eternal life.
Jesus' sacrifice will blot out every last act of evil, and we will be seen by God as utterly blameless. Instead of eternal separation from God in Hell, we will be with Him, our merciful and loving Savior, in Heaven, forever.
