Wokeism is a religion desperately in need of a devil. The wokeist himself is its god, and he is so good and loving that he’s managed to completely corner the market on empathy. He cares so hard it hurts.
But Wokeism demands more than simply caring about the right things, you also have to condemn those who do not. This is because Wokeism isn't about being objectively good, it's about being subjectively better.
Every wokeist needs a foil -- some person or group that makes him look good by comparison. The fat friend, if you will. This is why he is so quick to baselessly condemn you as a nazi or a fascist or some other thing generally associated with evil. He needs you to be evil so that he can be good. He demonizes you because everyone looks good when compared to a demon; and since his goodness depends upon your badness, you need to be very bad indeed.
It's critical to realize that he doesn't care whether his allegation is true. He doesn't call you a nazi because you are one, he does so because his superiority hinges upon you being one. Your alleged nazism is about him, not you.
He may not even know what a nazi is. All he really intends to convey is that you are evil and he is good; further details are of no interest. You are not a fellow human being with whom he intends to engage, but merely a straw man set up for the express purpose of being knocked down. You are there only to fulfill the role of the worse person so that he, by comparison, can be the better.
