Abolishing the police is really about abolishing the law
BLM provided a violent outlet to indoctrinated, revolutionary youth
These “protests” are about politics, not justice
John Adams rightly said that the United States was a nation of laws, not of men. The purpose of police abolition, however, is to reverse this founding principle by replacing those who enforce the law with those who enforce the tyrannical will of men.
This agenda is neither new nor unpredictable, of course. The radical Left has been broadcasting its intentions for quite some time, and our schools (which are really their schools) have been churning out scores of self-righteous, irrational Robespierres for generations now.
It was inevitable that these kids would, at some point, no longer be content with merely wishing death on those who disagree with them. Their vitriol was begging for a violent outlet, and the only missing ingredient was organization, which they found in Black Lives Matter. BLM's only missing ingredient was an excuse -- something that could serve as the flash point for revolution.
If it hadn't been Derek Chauvin, it would have been something else. This is an election year, and the possibility of electing Biden and exploiting his cognitive impairment presents these radicals with an unprecedented opportunity they can't afford to miss. This was always going to happen.
Looking back on the last month of well coordinated and mostly unrestrained lawlessness, it now seems clear that none of this (aside from the death of George Floyd) was spontaneous. The widespread and near instantaneous enabling by politicians, media, academia, and business strongly indicates that the "long march through the institutions" has taken its final step. The pieces have been moved into place, and the death blow is being readied.
Those expecting this insurgency to lose momentum are being naive. It will not stop. It can only be stopped.
